About 8 years ago, before my forth son had considered joining the infantry, before the birth of my second grandson (now there are 5!), and well before I truly understood the term ‘radical Islam’ … my second son quoted a study that the great majority in this nation had no idea what the Bill of Rights was … then he said: “Dad, it’s easy to take away freedoms when people don’t know they have them.” That is what this election has been about … the loss or guardianship of those freedoms. Do we entrust those freedoms to the promise of the United States Government (i.e. our brave military), or do we abrogate these Constitutional Rights to an anti-American world government with no guarantees of freedoms? America must decide that we are either an independent sovereign nation, or we are not. The United States has rarely shirked its duty to the international community, in all of world history there has never been a nation that has been as unselfish. Perhaps the main question answered by the Presidential election was not left against right, but whether our Constitution is our primary or secondary assurance of freedoms. As citizens assessed this situation they asked themselves: what is our role in international affairs? Is the primary rational: ‘How does this involvement effect the well being of America’s population?’; or ‘America owes it to the rest of the world, regardless of the tyranny in any particular government, to ‘level the playing field’. America answered that question last Tuesday with a resounding ‘America first’ answer.
The world first advocates ignore the fact that we were the first and to date the only nation to aid defeated enemies (i.e. Japan, Italy, Germany, Afghanistan, and Iraq) … yet American altruism is no longer good enough, they would rather have a world guarantee. While the world view is a valid theologic stance, it is hardly a political reality. For instance, should America annul our right to fight rather than negotiate with terrorists? Should America accept the world definition of terrorism? Should America place its sons and daughters under the leadership and allegiance of foreign nations?
The difference in these two views was perhaps the greatest gulf which separated America’s candidates. It is also the rational for the main stream media’s dereliction of duty. One only needs to remember it was the press who pushed hardest for Campaign Finance Reform, yet they were curiously silent when the left circumvented the law and 527′s with their millions of heretofore illegal dollars stole the day. It was obvious to all that pundits like Dan Rather rarely questioned the anti-Kerry 527′s, yet furthered unfounded allegations made by anti-Bush 527′s via interviews and false documents. The media pushed right up to the very end, somehow managing to report exit poles with double digit leads for Kerry perhaps in a vain attempt to quell the surging Bush electorate. Yet at the end of the day, Bush won the popular vote and the Electoral College by comfortable margins becoming the first President to win the popular vote since his father in 1988.
Americans can no longer count on the free press to shine its light on those who would win by intimidation and falsehoods. Yet it can count on its Constitution. It was the 1st Amendment which was the victor in this election. Millions read the truth via the ‘bloggers’ on the Internet who would dig deep and reveal truths, rather than allow the media to sway the electorate.
America’s greatness has been due to the very tapestry of its melting pot, the right wishes for the world to follow its example, while the left is saying it is better to share our wealth and power, without giving them the tools to sustain it … democracy. This election should prove to the world that we are not willing to believe the propaganda filtered through the main stream media, Americans ‘can handle the truth’, just give us the news without the spin. ‘We the people’ can decide to whom we owe allegiance. We the people can determine right from wrong. We the people can resolve good from evil. We must return to that mind set, this nation first, the world second … or there will no longer be an America to turn to in times of peril.
I am endorsing President Bush for the office of President of the United States. I am also endorsing other Republican incumbents Renyolds for U.S. Representative, Maziartz for State Senate, and Nesbitt for State Legislature. I view these candidates our best hope for continued safety and prosperity and those who have shown the most integrity. I will vote using mainly 3rd Parties in New York State, since the Presidential election is a forgone conclusion … I will use the ‘Right to Life’ and the ‘Conservative Party’ where appropriate to keep these parties alive and viable in our state.
Perhaps I have gravitated towards these candidates because this campaign has been fraught with a brazen attempt to steal the election (i.e. Hollywood Left, George Soros’s 527 groups, Michael Moore’s fabrications in ‘Fahrenheit 911′, Dan Rather and the forged documents, etc.). Senator Kerry himself introduced a new personal low in the last debate. By blatantly invading the privacy of the Chenny family he proved nothing is beneath him in his quest for power. One only needs to ask: Would it have been ‘fair game’ to mention any candidate’s daughter in a debate on abortion had she had one?
As the election comes to an end we must be very careful with the Democrats new motto: “every vote should count”. What if the votes are illegal … should they count? Since the foundation for the accusation of disenfranchised African Americans in Florida by Jesse Jackson is that illegal votes by felons were not counted, one can conclude that yes, they want any vote, even those deemed illegal, counted.
Furthermore, reports from battleground states such as Ohio are that the ‘get out the vote’ Democratic campaign includes paying and registering more ‘legal voters’ than were counted on the census in many districts. This reveals the first part of their scheme: ‘vote often’. This illegal effort has been enhanced in that many states which are not challenging the unconstitutional law passed by Congress allowing ‘provisional votes’ or voters to vote in precincts other than their own. This will enable illegal voters to move from precinct to precinct casting several illegal votes. These votes will be held out of the regular count and debated perhaps for weeks or months, potentially throwing this election into a 2000 like quagmire. In another battleground state, Colorado, reports up to 30 registrations per Democratic voter. Add to those illegal voters the Democratic law suits keeping Ralph Nader’s name off the ballot in most battleground states and you have the rest of the strategy. Not only does the left keep Nader from spoiling their ticket, but it also keeps the military, who are 70% committed to Bush, from voting. By stalling the fabrication of the ballot it may be too late to be sent over seas for absentee voting. So register often, vote often, and keep those who would vote for Nader or against Kerry from voting is the bottom line of this criminal scheme. This coupled with the published mandate by the Democratic National Committee, revealed in the “Colorado Election Day Manual” by the Drudge Report, instructs Democratic pollsters to look for any signs of intimidation, but, “If no signs of intimidation techniques have emerged yet, launch a pre-emptive strike.” This election conspiracy is not worthy of the true Democratic Party. Sen Zell Miller was right when he claimed that hoodlums have pilfered his party … they are doing more than attempting to win an election, in perhaps the most perilous times of this nation, rather than rally around the flag, they are attempting to hijack a nation.
