In the last election: Joe Wilson, Richard Clarke, et. al. did their best to distort reality as they joined the anti-Bush ‘book of the month club’. Add to that the credibility given the fable called “Fahrenheit 911″ by main stream Democrats, and one begins to understand the left … they apparently believe in the American Democratic Republic only when they are in charge. Yet even the plethora of leftists publications did not keep them from bellyaching about the one anti-Kerry book documented by Viet Nam war heros dubbed the “Swift Boat Vets”. Their disclosures, for the most part, proved to be embarrassingly accurate. More importantly most of those anti-Bush ‘documentaries’ have now been proven propaganda.
The truth began to triumph in April of 04 when former Attorney General, John Ashcroft, testified in front of the 911 Commission. Ashcroft did not wax Politically Correct when he laid the blame of the “wall” erected during the Clinton Administration directly at the feet of 911 Commission member Jamie Gorelick. According to Worldnetdaily: “The document by Gorelick, who served as deputy Attorney General under President Clinton, helped establish the single greatest structural cause for Sept. 11, which was ‘the wall’ that segregated criminal investigators and intelligence agents” (wall between FBI and CIA). Furthermore Ashcroft added: “Government erected this wall, government buttressed this wall, and before September 11, government was blinded by this wall”.
When one adds Gorelick and her staff on the 911 Committee to the other stealth operative, Clinton’s former National Security Advisor Sandy Berger, the fact that his people knew of the threat, but refused to face or preemptively attack the enemy, becomes obvious to all but the hopelessly naive. For the record, Berger admitted stealing top secret documents from the National Achieves. He said he returned some and destroyed others. To this date we do not know why or what was stolen and subsequently destroyed.
One must remember that the 911 Commission was playing the ‘blame game’. They were formed to find how 911 could have been prevented … i.e. what went wrong, what did we know, and how should we have used that data. Then we find out that a secret military organization called ‘Able Danger’ and their findings were all but ignored by this committee. This secret military espionage agency purportedly identified four of the 911 hijackers, including master mind Mohammed Atta, one year before 911. When they tried to pass the information to the FBI, they were prevented by Clinton Administration personal. Worse yet, the information was not passed on to the Bush Administration. Although the Pentagon has not been able to document these accusations brought forth by Rep. Curt Weldon, R. Penn, a top official in that agency, Lt. Col. Anthony Shaffer as well as others, now corroborate his accusations. Shaffer stated (Fox News 8/19/05) that the reason Able Danger was created was to specifically target al Qaeda and preemptively strike it before it attacked us. This was done by using ‘data mining’ … looking for patterns consistent with known terrorists via the latest technology. He further states that he informed the 911 Commission of his findings and that the Commission ignored his report. According to the New York Times: “the 911 commission staff decided not to share the Able Danger information with the panel members because some of the information sounded inconsistent with what they thought they knew about Atta”. Oh really? You mean when one is trying to assign blame, it is not important that four of the hijackers of 911 were identified a year before the incident and that information was not shared with either the CIA or FBI … let alone the incoming administration? Can anybody swallow that? How soon we forget that we lost over 3,000 Americans on that day due to these mistakes. Can you imagine the media frenzy were Doubleya’s people to have blown it this badly? Moreover, compare the press’s reaction to the above revelation to the attention leftist Cindy Sheehan, has gotten. While it is true that she is a mother who tragically lost her son in Iraq, it is also demonstrably true that she is leftist peace-nik who has left a trail of lewd public statements made for radical leftist groups.
As if the above were not damning enough a public interest group, ‘Judicial Watch’, has just released documents requested over 6 years ago. They reveal that former Sec. of State Warren Christopher was warned specifically about bin Laden and the danger he posed in 1996. That was after the first Twin Tower bombing and subsequent to four out right al Qaeda attacks against America. When faced with these documents Christopher answered: “no comment.” That information was also missing from the “911 Report”.
What is becoming painfully apparent is that not only … as Cool Hand Luke’s sadistic guard would have put it: ‘what we have here is a failure to communicate’, but also ‘what we had throughout the 90′s … was a failure to act’.
