It is almost impossible for any nation to win a war without the help of its main stream media. Yet that is what America must do in this war. One would expect with the nation in peril that the national media would support the war effort. Most would assume that an attack on the very city that the former standard bearer of the free press, the New York Times, calls home would have been incentive enough for the ‘Grey Lady’ to side with the good guys. But unfortunately that is not the case, and time has come to expose the cynicism which is the new left. It is no longer a manner of the political right exchanging banter with the left … it has degenerated to the new left aiding and abetting the enemy in an attempt to undermine the war effort. According to syndicated columnist Michele Mulkin, the Times has not only disclosed the workings of foreign prisons and detailed financial methods to America’s enemies, but also has, on at least two specific occasions, warned the enemy about impending raids. At any other time and in any other nation an organization caught aiding and abetting the enemy of the state in a time of war would have been harshly punished. After all, both citizens and troops are in harm’s way … and these disclosures make it easier to kill them. But in our topsy turvy Politically Correct Humanist Society this action has become known as “exercise of the 1st Amendment”, rather than treason. According to Mulkin, the first occasion involved Holy Land Foundation (HLF). Times Reporter, Judith Miller (who went to prison to protect Scotter Libby … go figure) placed a call to a Muslim terrorist financier of the HLF. According to Special Council Fitzgerald (of Plame blame fame) who stated in court documents that Miller allegedly warned the HLF that “government action was imminent.” The FBI raided the HLF’s offices the day after Miller’s article was published in the Times. The second occurrence involved the Global Relief Foundation (GRF). Mulkin explained that the Justice Department charged that a veteran New York Times foreign correspondent (Philip Shenon) warned alleged terror-funding Islamic charity, GRF, that the FBI was about to raid its office. They further charged that this action potentially endangered the lives of federal agents. Now one might reasonably ask why ‘nary a word’ about their reporters aiding and abetting al Qaeda has not reached that infamous ‘above the fold’ front page. After all, they headlined Abu Ghariab over 50 times. But, the new left apparently feels that anything that will improve chances of a Bush/American victory is not in the best interest of their agenda. So, not only have they reframed from reporting this story, but also, according to the Justice Department, the Times is not co-operating with their investigation into these events. As I see it the problem with the new left media is that they have embraced an agenda and abandoned reporting. Their motivation seems to be to impose their views, rather than report the news. They lament and pontificate on the front page … how the world should be, rather than how the world is … and they report according to that bias. Considering the happenings in Israel during the past week … and the numerous terrorist attacks around the world, in my opinion, this war has rapidly metamorphosed from the War on Terror to World War III. Israel has been attacked in the south by the Sunni Islamist based terrorist group Hamas. That is the same group, largely funded by the Saudis, that has been fighting along side of al Qaeda from time to time, against Americans in Iraq and Afghanistan. Then, without provocation another terrorist group, the Shiite group Hezbollah … the same group which bombed the Marine barricks in Lebanon in the early 1980’s and backed by Syria and Iran, began sending rockets (manufactured in Syria, China, and Iran) and troops over the northern border of Israel. This terrorist group has also been found on the battlefields killing Americans in both Iraq and Afghanistan. Furthermore, many rockets have been filled with anti-personal ball bearings and sent into Jewish civilian neighborhoods. Imagine if America had done that in either Afghanistan or Iraq. The Times would be demanding the heads of the military on a platter, but no complains of ‘crimes against humanity’ from any media elites as of this date. The only united media front is aimed at stopping Israel’s defensive response … because it, not unlike the action taken in the War on Terror, is overwhelming and succeeding. And God forbid any democracy should defend itself successfully from terror. One might think that media giants would put aside their anti-Bush agenda, open their eyes and report on the real ‘bad guys’ … the Islamo-fascist terrorists and their plethora of organizations. Why has it become so difficult for the media to extract actions from these organizations, connect the dots, and realize that should nations like Iran get nuclear weapons that they would use them against Western Societies? Is there any out there that that does not understand terrorist groups such as al Qaeda, Hamas, or Hezbollah would be given these weapons and use them? As Islamist organizations continue to drive unrelentingly toward nuclear terror, one must wonder just how long it will be before we will loose an entire city to these terrorists … terrorists largely championed by America’s media and new left. It is time we hold the media elites who aid and abet as accountable as we have our military. It is time we curtail radical leftist organizations and activist judges from imposing their interpretations of ‘right and wrong’ onto our society and realize that their anti-Bush agenda has evolved into an anti-American agenda. It is time we reject their agenda and realize that Disneyworld is closer to reality than “Timesworld’. Americans are not hearing from a once rational and loyal media; rather the media is filled with leftist drivel being imposed on its society by organizations backed by multi-billionaire radicals like Geroge Soros. It is time that the new left grasp the reality that how one was raised and what faith one was taught, is at least as important as which economy and society one was born. That is why the terrorist bombings in London were so devastating to leftist principles … after all these were home grown terrorists who had had all of the accruements of modern society … the only thing the British terrorists had in common with Third World Terrorists was …their faith.
