Albert Schweitzer once observed that ‘example is not a method of teaching it is the only way to learn’.  Political Correctness (PC) has replaced this tried and true method in 21^st century America.  With PC reining as the new American mantra truth has become its victim, spin has become its standard.   The PC Police (PCP), made up of the main stream media, Hollywood elite, and new left in the Democratic Party, no longer pays attention to deeds or content, they instead judge intent. While anybody residing on America’s political right is forced to tow the ever vague and elusive PC line, those on the new left get a pass and can do and say just about anything they wish. 
I contend the new left, those residing and controlling the Democratic Party, have come full circle since the sixties and are now the ones exposing hate speech.  They are perilously closer to the old right of the sixties than to the party of Roosevelt, Truman, and Kennedy. In today’s political mix Politically Incorrect words like: liar, fraud, cheat, stupid, and hate are regularly used to describe the Republican incumbents by the leadership of the Democratic Party.  Yet those same words are not disallowed by the PCP when used by the right on the left.  Furthermore, it is the PCP in the form of the main stream media who has regularly undermined the war effort by exposing various effective secret programs against the Jihad.  To emphasize this one needs only look at three effective programs nullified by the media. The first was that al Qaeda prisoners were being housed in ally prisons and moved from time to time, these nations and prisons were outed by the N.Y. Times.  Second was revealing the fact that the NSA was randomly wire taping enemies from foreign nations giving marching orders to covert individuals and groups in the U. S.  The third was the method of tracing funds being laundered to the terrorists throughout the world going to support the jihad.  Moreover, ‘freedoms’ allowed the new American left are legion. The infamous ‘N’ word is unacceptable to those in PCP unless it is uttered by a leftist.  Democratic Senator Robert Byrd, the only remaining former KKK member in that body, was not even chastised for using the ‘N word’ when describing the dilemma of race relations and white people.  Think of the headlines and hoopla made about the cartoons of Mohammed by the Danish Press, while the Palestinian Press was free to characterize our African American Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice pregnant carrying not a human baby but an armed monkey.  Presidential hopeful Democrat Joseph Biden made derogatory racial slurs against Indian Americans.  They were all but ignored.  Then just last Sunday he made an appeal to southern racists by pandering to his “former slave state of Delaware”.  Don’t hold your breath for any consequence that too has been ignored by the PC Police.  Yet Republican incumbent Sen. George Allen of Virginia has dropped 10 points in the poles since his insensitive remarks have been kept in front of the people and played repeatedly by the press.  Furthermore, did anybody get upset when New Orleans Mayor Ray Nagin insisted that the death toll in New Orleans was “over 10,000”, or when his chief of police claimed that “babies were being raped in the Superdome”.  Later, it was revealed as closer to 2,000 deaths and there were no rapes or murders of babies in the Superdome.  Nagin made an appeal to African Americans to repopulate his city to make New Orleans a “Chocolate City”.  No outcry from the PCP.  When he recently called the hallowed ground of 911 ‘a hole in the ground’, there was hardly a stir.  Imagine the outcry had Republican Mayor Rudi Giuliani asking that New York City be a vanilla city or make a crass remark about the Gulf Coast victims of Katrina.  Then there was the ever present Louis Faracon who claimed that Nagin had met with him secretly and told him about large voids … “25 foot craters” beneath the levies and indicated that they were blown up by the government.  That makes the left winged 911 conspiracy pale in comparison.  The danger here is that while one can point out misguided conservatives, try as the left has, one cannot site leadership as giving the marching orders for that misdirection.  Even the accusations made against the right in the CIA Valarie Plame case has fallen apart.  It has been exposed as a ‘vast left winged conspiracy’ with the revelation that the Special Prosecutor knew who leaked yet kept the inquisition in tact.  He had learned early on that it came from the State Department’s Richard L. Armitage, a Bush critic, not the Administration. 
Can the truth be heard from those who hate?  Hate filled talking points are wrong no matter their source.  Furthermore, hate speech has never been covered by our cherished First Amendment.  It is a travesty that we now hear the same hate filled talking points from both the leaders of the former great Democratic Party and the Islamic Jihad.  My greatest fear is that today’s PC society is dooming America to tragedies which will dwarf 911.  The inane 21^st century American Politically Correct Left can be described as the blind leading the naive to the precipice of disaster … as they tie the hands of the government in the war effort with PC red tape we await the inevitable … another devastating attack.
