Why do they hate America?

Why do so many Americans hate America? When I saw Rep. Dennis Kucinich standing in front of the microphones in Syria, I was reminded that he considers himself a patriotic American who is running for President. Can you grasp that fact? An American Presidential Candidate denouncing our troops, the war, and our President merely miles from the front on enemy soil.
Then there was last week’s Moveon.org’s full page New York Times ad of General Petraeus with the caption ‘Petraeus or Betrayus?’ Calling a career military leader who has and is putting his life on the line 24/7 for our safety is beyond reasonable. This radical leftist organization, a major contributor to the Democratic Party, is calling this patriot a ‘Benedict Arnold’. One would think that any rational politician would criticize Moveon for their vitriolic rhetoric. Yet there have been very few Democrats who dare criticize the radical organization which has become a major source of their funds, both legally and illegally (they have been found guilty of illegally raising millions of dollars for the Kerry Presidential effort and received a deep discount from New York Times for the treasonous ad). It is noteworthy that none of the front running Democratic Presidential Candidates (Clinton, Edwards, and O’bama) have uttered a word against Moveon’s ad.
One may add to this anti-American quagmire Director Brian DiPalma’s movie “Redacted” about the rape of a young Iraqi woman. According to Moviefone: “Pushed to their very limits, the film portrays the tragic events surrounding a US army squad that targets and persecutes an innocent Iraqi girl and her family, culminating in a brutal rape and murder. … A fictional version of the truth … ‘Redacted’ begs the question: Once we know the truth, what is the value of war and the worth of all its tragedies?” Did this event happen? Absolutely. Is it historically correct? Likely is. Then why am I upset? Because these military thugs were convicted after they had been turned in by their fellow soldiers and have been sentenced to life imprisonment for the murder and rape of that family. Any reasonable person would understand that justice has been served. America does not and did not condone this behavior. But, for the most part, this film will not be viewed by the reasonable. It will be used by the Jihad to fuel the fires of the radical Islamist and presented as ‘usual and customary’ behavior of Americans. It will put every American, but especially our military, in harm’s way.
It is amazing why the likes of the Hollywood left, Moveon.org, and the Democratic Presidential Candidates hate America. They hate everything that America stands for, religious freedoms, tolerance, and capitalism, when the truth is without these freedoms they would be nothing but average or below average individuals. For the most part, none have Phd’s or have ever been able to hold real jobs. They are professional politicians or actors. These skills are hardly appreciated in socialist, communist, or Ismofacist societies. Moveon.org, Kocinich, and DiPalma say they made their moves to ‘change the war’. They will no doubt accomplish that goal as more fascists stream into Iraq hell bent on killing Americans. Yet the inane main stream media will continue to blame Bush for attempting to win a war that we must not lose.

Deanna’s grandmother passed Monday … continue to keep the family in prayer.
Praise: Buffalo Bills reserve tight end Kevin Everett who sustained a life threatening broken neck last week is showing signs of recovery.
Chris M young man with a painful neuralgia of unknown origin.
Praise that my good friend Diane’s sister had her job restored.
Praise that David’s book is selling nicely and his invitations for appearances are increasing.
Nephew with eating disorder is eating and gaining weight please continue to pray.
Continue to pray for our kidney transplant friends: patient Jim and his donor and good friend Larry. Remember 9/26 is the surgical date.
Continue to pray that Dan and Betsey sell their home in Kettering.
Please remember to pray for our troops … at 9:00 PM Eastern each night.
Our family members for continued employment opportunities and wisdom of choice; Second son for results of his interview and third for success in recent opportunities … health issues and stress for sisters; health issues for five of our nieces; and Marilyn.

No that blank space is not a mistake, there is nothing worth talking about as Pittsburg spanked us in every phase of the game (okay special teams were still special). If they continue to play like this and with their schedule, the only hope is: what does the college talent look like? Sorry but barring a miracle it’s apparent we have a better shot at the number one draft choice than the playoffs!

A Life Worth Living

The pastor made the announcement, that one of our parishioners was turning ninety-eight on Tuesday. Whenever anyone lives that long, we can’t help but be in awe. But when that person is still driving a car and drives better than most of us, you have to take your hat off to them.
Not only that, but he doesn’t have to wear glasses and his hearing is very good. (Maybe he has an invisible hearing aid that I didn’t see). I wish that my mind was half as sharp as his is. He possesses a quick wit and has a twinkle in his eyes as he talks to you.
Now here are some more things that impressed me about him. He still lives in the same home he did when he moved there in 1943. He goes out trapping for fox and raccoons. Surprising himself when he caught over a dozen coons and two dozen fox this year. He uses a four-wheeler and he can’t ever remember not trapping.
Born and raised on a dairy farm in Indian Falls, New York in 1909, after he married he moved to Niagara Falls, New York and worked as maintenance personal at the old Shredded Wheat plant. The country boy tired of the city life after seven years and in 1943 he took off two weeks, buying a farm over near Lyndonville, New York. He and his family moved there and he milked cows until his retirement thirty years later.
When asked what he would do differently if he had to do it all over, he replied with a twinkle in his eyes, “Nothing”. He has a total of forty-eight off spring, including seven children. But he doesn’t think that he could have raised his kids in the city and he still loves farming and the country life. “The USA is a very good country to live in!” he stated firmly. You can tell by talking to him that he gives his Creator, all the credit for everything!
HAPPY (ninety-eighth) Birthday, Vernon Krisher. May you live another ninety-eight. You are an inspiration to everyone that you meet.

Three old and experienced men, a Jewish man, a Frenchman, and an Italian were comparing their abilities in the bedroom with their respective wives.
The Jewish man said, “Last week, my wife and I had great sex. I rubbed her body all over with schmaltz (chicken fat), we made passionate love, and she screamed for five full minutes at the end!”

The Frenchman boasted, “Last week when my wife and I had sex, I rubbed her body all over with butter. We then made passionate love and she screamed for fifteen minutes!”

They paused and turned their attention to the Italian. The Italian man said, “Well, last week my wife and I also had sex. I rubbedher body all over with olive oil. We made love, and she screamed for oversix hours!”

“Six hours!” the Jewish man exclaimed.
Finally the amazed Frenchman asked, “What could you have possibly done to make your wife scream for six hours?”

The Italian man shrugged his shoulders and said, ” I wiped my hands on the bedspread…”
