Dear friends and family:

Here are a few things before the prayer requests ... both worth the time.

Davenport Richard:

Three Things to Ponder:
1. Cows
2. The Constitution
3. The Ten Commandments

C O W S
Is it just me, or does anyone else find it amazing that during the mad
cow epidemic our government could track a single cow, born in Canada almost
three years ago, right to the stall where she slept in the state of
Washington? And, they tracked her calves to their stalls. But they are
unable to locate 11 million illegal aliens wandering around our country.
Maybe we should give each of them a cow.

T H E C O N S T I T U T I O N
They keep talking about drafting a Constitution for Iraq. Why don't we
just give them ours? It was written by a lot of really smart guys, it
has worked for over 200 years, and we're not using it anymore.

The real reason that we can't have the Ten Commandments posted in a
courthouse is this:
You cannot post "Thou Shalt Not Steal," "Thou Shalt Not Commit
Adultery," and "Thou Shall Not Lie" in a building full of lawyers, judges and
politicians...It creates a hostile work environment.

"Geezers" (slang for an old men) are easy to spot:

At sporting events, during the playing of the Star Spangled BANNER,
Geezers remove their caps, stand at attention and sing without
embarrassment. They not only know the words, they believe in them.

Geezers remember the Depression, World War II,
Pearl Harbor,Guadalcanal,Normandy and Hitler.

They remember the Atomic Age, the Korean War 1950-55,
The Cold War, the Jet Age.

The 50 plus Peacekeeping Missions from 1945 to 2005 and the Moon
Landing, not to mention Vietnam.

If you bump into a Geezer on the sidewalk, he will apologize (but defend his parking place with his life!).

If you pass a Geezer on the street, he will nod or tip his cap to a lady.

Geezers trust strangers and are courtly to women.

Geezers hold the door for the next person and always,
when walking, make certain the lady is on the inside for protection.

Geezers get embarrassed if someone curses in front of women and
Children, and they don't like any filth on TV or in movies or in
e-mails.

Geezers have moral courage.
They seldom brag unless it's about their grandchildren.

It's the Geezers who know our great country is protected, not by politicians
or police, but by the men and women in the military serving their country.

This country needs more Geezers with their decent values.
We need them now more than ever.

Thank God for Geezers!
