Dear friends and family:

Davenport Richard:

IDLE THOUGHTS OF A RETIREE’S IDLE MIND… as I was just thinking:
I had amnesia once — or twice.
Protons have mass? I didn’t even know they were Catholic.
Someone told me I was gullible and I believed them.
Teach a child to be polite and courteous and, when he grows up, he’ll never be able to merge his car onto the freeway.
Experience is the thing you have left when everything else is gone.
One nice thing about egotists: they don’t talk about other people.
My weight is perfect for my height — which varies
I used to be indecisive. Now I’m not sure.

From Buddy Bob:

Hillary and Obama were on a boat. The boat sank. Who was saved?

AMERICA!

Lighter side from Jamestown Patti

WIFE VS. HUSBAND
A couple drove down a country road for several miles, not saying a word.
An earlier discussion had led to an argument and
neither of them wanted to concede their position.
As they passed a barnyard of mules, goats, and pigs,
the husband asked sarcastically, “Relatives of yours?”
“Yep,” the wife replied, “in-laws.”

WORDS
A husband read an article to his wife about how many words women use a
day… 30,000 to a man’s 15,000.
The wife replied, “The reason has to be because we have to repeat
everything to men…
The husband then turned to his wife and asked, “What?”

CREATION
A man said to his wife one day, “I don’t know how you can be
so stupid and so beautiful all at the same time.
“The wife responded, “Allow me to explain.
God made me beautiful so you would be attracted to me;
God made me stupid so I would be attracted to you !

Prayer Requests:

Marilyn to have spinal procedure tomorrow (Wed. 1:00 PM) please pray for success and improvement.

Please continue to pray for Scottie’s concerns: mother, grandparents, and his decision to join the Marines. As I said last week: “To say that we love and are proud of our Scott is an understatement … he has always been and will always be the most special blessing in our lives.”
From cousin Gretchen: Thanks again all who have been praying for Trista and Josh. I got to speak with them last week (that was a wonderful surprise to actually talk to Trista!) After the gall bladder was removed, she had other symptoms, which led them to think it was multiple sclerosis (I think the doctors were just grasping at straws and didn’t really know), but now they think it may have been a stroke (still guessing). She started eating solid, pureed foods on Friday, but some of it came back up the next day (eating too much too soon), However, she was released from the hospital yesterday (Monday), after being taken off of all IV’s on Saturday. Her attitude is very upbeat, and her faith in the Lord remains strong. She is appreciative of all the prayers. The wedding will obviously wait until her body is really strong enough. Thank you so much for your concern and prayers.

Former student Jennifer ovarian cancer, has had many complications and is just getting out of ICU. She is off the respirator and recovering, please keep praying.

The Lord’s wisdom on David’s bid for Congress and family unity as attacks on character are ONGOING.

Tom and Twila’s son, Keith, has schizophrenia and they asked for prayer for him and Twila as his mother.
Chris has been having trouble with her shoulder for several weeks (possibly rotator cuff) and will be going to the doctor tomorrow (Tuesday).
Wanda is doing well with her shoulder therapy.
Wanda’s mother is having more complications with her eye and they may have to remove it. She is very depressed.
Herb’s leg is swelling and he will be going to the doctor soon.
Delrose as she recovers from knee surgery (she went home after only two days … after full knee replacement!).
Rupert – health.
Marilyn will have a surgical procedure on Wednesday to help alleviate some of her pain.
Delrose had a nurse while she was in the hospital who asked for prayer for her friend (also a nurse) who was in an automobile accident and is in a coma in ORMC. The coma patient is Christy.

Be Blessed and Be a Blessing,

Dr B
