The strongest reason for the people to retain the right to keep and bear arms is, as a last resort, to protect themselves against tyranny in government…

The Reason the Right is in Danger… They Eat Their Own
I listened to a debate between the two Republican candidates for Senate in Florida on “Fox News Sunday with Chris Wallace”. The gloves were off and the ‘moderate’ Republican Governor (Crist) , now trailing badly in the poles, choose to accuse his opponent, former Speaker of the Florida House, Marco Rubio, of everything from the extravagant cost of his personal grooming (hair cuts) to pilfering money. Yet as the frontrunner claimed, Gov. Crist never once offered a solution to the quagmire in Washington, only personal attacks. Sound familiar? What he attempted to do, imo, qualified as a smear and a desperate attempt to garner votes, but it gave future Rubio’s Democratic opponent, should he win, plenty of ammunition.
Rubio, speaking to Crist, added, “Everyone knows that you won’t stand up to the Obama agenda.”
The governor stated a “clear, stark distinction” in approaches, pointing to recent news accounts that indicated, in his words, that Rubio has used his position as a way to enhance his personal enrichment… On the infamous “hug” incident where Governor Crist supported President Obama when he was selling the stimulus in Florida, Crist voiced no regrets and said that he would have supported the package if he had been in the U.S. Senate at the time, adding “I think it was the right thing to do at the time.”… When asked whether he would rule out running as an Independent, Crist replied, “I am running as a Republican,” adding that he would support whomever wins the Republican primary.
So there you have it, they say they will back whoever wins the Republican Primary. I do not believe either, I think they will support whomever wins the Republican Primary, as long it is they. If they lose, I would put my money on them running as an independent, splitting the conservative vote, and plucking certain defeat from the jaws of victory. Can any remember back to the loss of the white House by Bush I? I lay that loss at the foot of two neo-conservatives; Ross Perot, for taking 29% of the vote, and Pat Buchanan for showing the Democrats how to defeat him. Buchanan accused Bush I of being too far left on everything from the economy to terrorism. It is widely credited to campaign manager James Carville for the phrase, “It’s the economy stupid”, but in reality, all he had to do was listen to the accusations of Buchanan. As I listened to the re-run of that debate I could not help but think, these guys still don’t ‘get it’. The enemy does not reside within the right, it resides on the left. How soon they forget the progressive motto: “the ends justify the means”. It was merely a week ago that the Democrats force fed lies to the American public and media and imposed, in a fascist kind of way, health care ‘reform’ on the nation. Merely a week later we see two ‘conservatives’ gut each other on network television. America, the problem with the right is that seem never to defend their own, rather they seem to enjoy eating their own’.

A guy walked into the local welfare office
to pick up his check.
He marched straight up to the counter
and said, ‘ Hi. You know, I just HATE
drawing welfare. I’d really rather have
a job.’
The social worker behind the counter
said, ‘ Your timing is excellent.. We just
got a job opening from a very wealthy
old man who wants a chauffeur and
bodyguard for his beautiful daughter.
You’ll have to drive around in his 2008
Mercedes CL, and he will supply all of
your clothes. Because of the long hours
meals will be provided. You’ll also be
expected to escort the daughter on her
overseas holiday trips.
This is rather awkward to say but you
will also have as part of your job
assignment to satisfy her sexual urges
as the daughter is in her mid-20′s and
has a rather strong sex drive.
A two-bedroom loft type apartment
with plasma TV, stereo, bar, etc.
located above the garage will be
designated for your sole use and
the salary is $200,000 a year.’
The guy, just plain wide-eyed, said,
‘ You’re BSnn’ me!’
The social worker said, ‘ Yeah, well,
you started it.’
Remember when this was true? But that was about 9 or 10% on the unemployment scale ago… when that hated man was our president… miss Doubleya yet?
Ok, I’ll lighten up… here’s another:

We were out shopping yesterday for a new ride. Just for fun, the wife and I took a Cadillac Escalade out for a test drive. I wanted to sense that Escalade “feel” before they become extinct…
The salesman sat in the back seat describing the car and all its wonderful options.
The seats were of particular interest. He explained that the seats directed warm air to your butt in the winter and directed cool air to your butt in the summer heat.
I stated the car must be a Republican car.
Looking a bit angry, he asked why I thought it was a Republican car. I explained that if it were a Democrat car, the seats would blow smoke up your butt year-round.
Naïve, me, I thought it was a Democrat care because it was owned by them!

Blogger’s Corner; Grammy Sammie: Obama is the Sheppard….
Obama is the shepherd I did not want. He leadeth me beside the still
factories. He restoreth my faith in the Republican Party. He guideth me
in the path of unemployment for his party’s sake.
Yea, though I walk through the valley of the bread line, I shall fear no
hunger, for his bailouts are with me. He has anointed my income with
taxes, My expenses runneth over. Surely, poverty and hard living will
follow me all the days of my life, And I will live in a mortgaged home
forever.
