In “Rural Dentist” Dr B and Marilyn chronicle their lives as they strive, labor, and toil from humble beginnings to great success. This book is a guide for the dental as well as a story for all to enjoy. The amusing anecdotes will have you laughing and the historical events they have experienced (MLK and Kennedy assassinations) will leave you with a tear.

A Great Day to Be An American:

Just before I began my daily gardening a prayer partner arrived, 7:00 a.m.  He found me perusing the river from the deck and said he had seen ‘our’ swans.  I noted I thought I had seen the reflection of a rather large eagle headed north but I simply wasn’t sure.

I said the male swan was in a defensive posture, and he agreed.  We thought it was our presence, but the pair has been there for four year and has never feared my presence before.  Then from the northwest the eagle decided to give us a fourth of July show.  He swooped down just enough to let the swans know he was still the boss.  As soon as he left the male swan relaxed, looked at us as if to say, see how I chased that ‘tough guy’ away!

We could not help but marvel the Lord’s creation. This majesty reminded me that I have begun a college course in biology.  I do this about every few or so years to be certain I am current.  The professor stared with the usual evolution theory, but it was refreshing to hear him say that ‘chance’ encounter for creation was simply mathematically impossible.  I especially appreciated that statement because that is the conclusion I came to three or four decades ago.  The more complex the lecture became the more certain I became that the creation was simply not possible without a creator.  And finally, science is slowly but surely catching up with scripture.  Who knows, before you know it they will even recognize that we live in a Christian nation and are endowed by our creator inalienable rights; rights by which no human can bring a law suit or lien.  So as you celebrate the fourth this weekend, thank God for a nation in which you can still thank Him.  Enjoy the Fourth and…

Be Blessed and Be a Blessing,

Dr B

Teachers & Cops

Teachers: These are actual comments made on students’ report cards by teachers

in the New York City public school system. All teachers were reprimanded

(but, boy, are these funny!).

12. Since my last report, your child has reached rock bottom and has started to dig.

11. I would not allow this student to breed.

10. Your child has delusions of adequacy.

9. Your son is depriving a village somewhere of an idiot.

8. Your son sets low personal standards and then consistently fails to achieve them..

7. The student has a ‘full six-pack’ but lacks the plastic thing to hold it all together.

6. This child has been working with glue too much.

5. When your daughter’s IQ reaches 50, she should sell.

4. The gates are down, the lights are flashing, but the train isn’t coming.

3. It’s impossible to believe the sperm that created this child beat out 1,000,000 others.

2. The wheel is turning but the hamster is definitely dead.

AND THE WINNER IS…..

1. If this student were any more stupid, he’d have to be watered twice a week.

Cops:  These are actual comments made by 16 Police Officers.
The comments were taken off actual police car videos around the country:

16. ‘You know, stop lights don’t come any redder than the one you just went through.’

15. ‘Relax, the handcuffs are tight because they’re new.

They’ll stretch after you wear them a while.’

14. ‘If you take your hands off the car, I’ll make your birth certificate a worthless document.’

13. ‘If you run, you’ll only go to jail tired.’

12… ‘Can you run faster than 1200 feet per second?

Because that’s the speed of the bullet that’ll be chasing you.’

11. ‘You don’t know how fast you were going? I guess that means

I can write anything I want to on the ticket, huh?’

10. ‘Yes, sir, you can talk to the shift supervisor, but I don’t think it will help..

Oh, did I mention that I’m the shift supervisor?’

9. ‘Warning! You want a warning? O.K, I’m warning you not to do that again

or I’ll give you another ticket. ‘

8.  ‘The answer to this last question will determine whether you are drunk or not.

Was Mickey Mouse a cat or a dog?’

7. ‘Fair? You want me to be fair?  Listen, fair is a place where you go to ride on rides,

eat cotton candy and corn dogs and step in monkey poop’

6. ‘Yeah, we have a quota.. Two more tickets and my wife gets a toaster oven.’

5. ‘In God we trust, all others we run through NCIC.’

4. ‘How big were those ‘two beers’ you say you had?’

3. ‘No sir, we don’t have quotas anymore. We used to, but now we’re allowed

to write as many tickets as we can.’

2. ‘I’m glad to hear that the Chief (of Police) is a personal friend of yours.

So you know someone who can post your bail.’

AND THE WINNER IS….

1. ‘You didn’t think we give pretty women tickets? You’re right, we don’t.. Sign here.’

CLINT W. HAINES

The year is 1947

Some of you will recall that on July 8, 1947, a little over 60 years ago, witnesses claim that an unidentified flying object

(UFO) with five aliens aboard crashed onto a sheep and mule ranch just outside Roswell, New Mexico . This is a well known incident that  many say has long been covered up by the U.S. Air Force and other federal agencies and organizations.

However, what you may NOT know is that in the month of April

1948, some nine months or so after that historic day, the following people were born:

Albert A. Gore, Jr.

Hillary Rodham

John F. Kerry

William J. Clinton

Howard Dean

Nancy Pelosi

Dianne Feinstein

Charles E. Schumer

Barbara Boxer

See what happens when aliens breed with sheep and jackasses?

I certainly hope this bit of information clears up a lot of things for you. It did for me.

No wonder they support the bill to help illegal aliens!

Question: What do you get when you mix PMS with GPS?

Answer: A crazy lady who WILLfind you!

Why do psychics have to ask you your

Blogger’s Corner

From Carlton Carl:

DID YOU KNOW?
As you walk up the steps to the building which houses the U..S Supreme Court you can see near the top of the building a row of the world’s law givers and each one is facing one in the middle who is facing forward with a full frontal view … It is Moses and he is holding the Ten Commandments!

.

DID YOU KNOW?
As you enter the Supreme Court courtroom, the two huge oak doors have the Ten Commandments engraved on each lower portion of each door.

DID YOU KNOW?
As you sit inside the courtroom, you can see the wall, right above where the Supreme Court Judges sit, a display of the Ten Commandments!

DID YOU KNOW?

There are Bible verses etched in stone all over the Federal Buildings and Monuments in Washington , D.C.

DID YOU KNOW?

James Madison, the fourth president, known as ‘The Father of Our Constitution’ made the following statement:

‘We have staked the whole of all our political Institutions upon the capacity of mankind for Self-government, upon the capacity of each and all of us to govern ourselves, to control  ourselves, to sustain ourselves according to The Ten Commandments of God.’

DID YOU KNOW?
Every session of Congress begins with a prayer by a paid preacher, whose salary has been paid by the taxpayer since 1777.

DID YOU KNOW?

Fifty-two of the 55 founders of the Constitution were members of the established Orthodox churches in the colonies..

DID YOU KNOW?

Thomas Jefferson worried that the Courts would overstep their authority and instead of Interpreting the law would begin making law an oligarchy the rule of few over many.

How then, have we gotten to the point that everything we have done for 220 years in this Country is now suddenly wrong and Unconstitutional?

From Kaybob
BUTTE , MONTANA

Shotgun Preteen vs. Illegal Alien Home Invaders

Two illegal aliens, Ralphel Resindez, 23, and Enrico Garza, 26, probably believed they would easily overpower home-alone 11 year old Patricia Harrington after her father had left their two-story home.

It seems the two crooks never learned two things: they were in Montana and Patricia had been a clay shooting champion since she was nine.

Patricia was in her upstairs room when the two men broke through the front door of the house. She quickly ran to her father’s room and grabbed his 12 gauge Mossberg 500 shotgun.
Resindez was the first to get up to the second floor only to be the first to catch a near point blank blast of buckshot from the 11-year-old’s knee crouch aim. He suffered fatal wounds to his abdomen and genitals.
When Garza ran to the foot of the stairs, he took a blast to the left shoulder and staggered out into the street where he bled to death before medical help could arrive.
It was found out later that Resindez was armed with a stolen 45 caliber handgun he took from another home invasion robbery. That victim, 50-year-old David 0′ Burien, was not so lucky. He died from stab wounds to the chest.
Ever wonder why good stuff never makes NBC, CBS, PBS, MSNBC, CNN, or ABC news……..an 11 year old girl, properly trained, defended her home, and herself……against two murderous, illegal immigrants……..and she wins. She is still alive.
Now that is Gun Control!
Thought for the day….
Calling an illegal alien an ‘undocumented immigrant’ is like calling a drug dealer an ‘unlicensed pharmacist’
I like this kind of e-mail. American citizens defending themselves and their homes.

From Fredonia Patti:

Happy  4th of
July!….
…..let’s get this started now,
So it will  be out there on the  fourth!!!!

I  PLEDGE ALLEGIANCE TO THE
FLAG, OF  THE
UNITED STATES OF AMERICA  ,

AND  TO THE REPUBLIC, FOR
WHICH IT  STANDS,

ONE  NATION UNDER  GOD,

INDIVISIBLE,  WITH
LIBERTY AND JUSTICE FOR ALL!

KEEP  IT LIT!

KEEP IT  LIT!

For
All of our other military personnel, where  ever they may be

Please
Support all of the troops defending our  Country.

And  God
Bless our Military who are protecting  our Country for our
Freedom.
Thanks
To them, and their sacrifices we can  celebrate the 4th of July

We must never  forget who
Gets the credit for the freedoms

We have, of which we should be

Eternally  grateful..

I watched the flag
Pass by one day,
It fluttered in the  breeze.

A young Marine
Saluted it,
And then he stood at ease..

I looked at
Him in uniform
So young, so tall, so proud,
With hair  cut square
And eyes alert
He’d stand out  in any crowd.
I thought how many men
Like him
Had fallen through the years.
How many died on foreign
Soil
How  many mothers’ tears?

How many pilots’ planes
Shot down?
How many died at sea
How  many foxholes were soldiers’
Graves ?
No, freedom isn’t free

I heard the  sound of Taps
One night,
When everything  was still,
I listened to the bugler

Play
And felt a sudden chill.

I wondered just how many times

That Taps had meant ‘Amen,’

When a flag had draped  a
Coffin.
Of a brother or a friend.

I thought of all the
Children,
Of the mothers and the  wives,
Of fathers, sons and
Husbands
With interrupted lives.

I  Thought about a  graveyard
At  the bottom of the sea

Of unmarked graves in
Arlington .
No, freedom isn’t free.

Enjoy  Your Freedom
&God Bless Our  Troops

When  You receive this, please stop for a moment
And Say  a Prayer for our servicemen.
Of  all the gifts you could give
A US Soldier,  Prayer is the very best
One.

THIS IS SO AWESOME….READ IT EVERY WEEK!!!    AMAZING…

Written By Regina Brett, 90 years old, of The Plain Dealer, Cleveland , Ohio

“To celebrate growing older, I once wrote the 45 lessons life taught me. It is the most-requested column I’ve ever written. My odometer rolled over to 90 in August, so here is the column once more:”
1. Life isn’t fair, but it’s still good..
2. When in doubt, just take the next small step.
3. Life is too short to waste time hating anyone.
4. Your job won’t take care of you when you are sick. Your friends and parents will. Stay in touch.
5. Pay off your credit cards every month.
6. You don’t have to win every argument. Agree to disagree.
7. Cry with someone. It’s more healing than crying alone.
9. Save for retirement starting with your first paycheck.
10. When it comes to chocolate, resistance is futile.
11. Make peace with your past so it won’t screw up the present.
12. It’s OK to let your children see you cry.
13. Don’t compare your life to others. You have no idea what their journey is all about.
14. If a relationship has to be a secret, you shouldn’t be in it.
15. Everything can change in the blink of an eye. But don’t worry; God never blinks.
16. Take a deep breath. It calms the mind.
17. Get rid of anything that isn’t useful, beautiful or joyful.
18. Whatever doesn’t kill you really does make you stronger.

19. It’s never too late to have a happy childhood. But the second one is up to you and no one else.
20. When it comes to going after what you love in life, don’t take no for an answer
21. Burn the candles, use the nice sheets, wear the fancy lingerie. Don’t save it for a special occasion. Today is special.
22. Over prepare, then go with the flow.
23. Be eccentric now. Don’t wait for old age to wear purple.
24. No one is in charge of your happiness but you.
25. Frame every so-called disaster with these words ”In five years, will this matter?”.
26. Always choose life.
27. Forgive everyone everything.
28. What other people think of you is none of your business.
29.. Time heals almost everything.. Give time, time.
30. However good or bad a situation is, it will change.
31. Don’t take yourself so seriously. No one else does.
32. Believe in miracles.
33. God loves you because of who God is, not because of anything you did or didn’t do.
34. Don’t audit life Show up and make the most of it now.
35. Growing old beats the alternative — dying young.
36. Your children get only one childhood.
37. All that truly matters in the end is that you loved.
38. Get outside every day. Miracles are waiting everywhere.
39. If we all threw our problems in a pile and saw everyone else’s, we’d grab ours back..
40. Envy is a waste of time. You already have all you need.
41. The best is yet to come
42. No matter how you feel, get up, dress up and show up.
43. Yield
44. Life isn’t tied with a bow, but it’s still a gift.

Billy Graham’s Prayer For Our Nation:
‘Heavenly Father, we come before you today to ask your forgiveness and to seek your direction and guidance. We know Your Word says, ‘Woe to those who call evil good,’ but that is exactly what we have done. We have lost our spiritual equilibrium and reversed our values. We have exploited the poor and called it the lottery. We have rewarded laziness and called it welfare.. We have killed our unborn and called it choice. We have shot abortionists and called it justifiable. We have neglected to discipline our children and called it building self esteem. We have abused power and called it politics.. We have coveted our neighbor’s possessions and called it ambition. We have polluted the air with profanity and pornography and called it freedom of expression. We have ridiculed the time-honored values of our forefathers and called it enlightenment. Search us, Oh God, and know our hearts today; cleanse us from every sin and Set us free. Amen!’
