As many of you know my last research book was written in the early 90’s and entitled “Aids Confusion in Black and White” (now out of print)… but I have kept my research relatively current and think these two articles are timely and important to the general population (btw most of my politically incorrect conclusions I posited in this book have come true).

This is a randomized controlled trial conducted in Ugandan children from a single hospital to examine the effect of adjunct zinc therapy on case fatality rates and return to normal respiratory function.

Best of Bones…

Romney Won… Didn’t He?

Gov. Romney easily won the day in Arizona, a state with a heavy Mormon population, and took all of the 29 delegates.  But it is a horse of a different color in his home state of Michigan:

The state’s 30 delegates will be allocated on a proportional basis, and Romney and Santorum each won three so far, according to the returns. Doesn’t this scenario seem familiar?  Remember when the pundits tell you that Santorum asked Democrats to vote for him (and he did do this), that Romney out spent Santorum with negative adds 4-1. So, it is a wash.

 

What is more, didn’t Romney win Iowa before he lost it?  And isn’t it possible after all the votes are counted in Michigan, Santorum could have as many or more delegates than Romney?  Wouldn’t that mean that Santorum won or tied the election and Romney won the popular vote?

So, before the establishment crowns Romney King, the ticket of Santorum/Gingrich is still alive and well and dependent on Super Tuesday.  The very latest is that Santorum lost by merely three points and can take at least half of the delegates.

Does One Need to be a Minister to Minister?

Just a note on a conversation I had with a couple of friends and a young man whom I admire and love.  Right now this young man is learning the difference between the letter of the law, and the spirit of the law… and it is indeed a difficult lesson.

As I look at the quagmire he finds himself in, many who know him, asks why?  He is certainly a decent kid and has kept his nose clean all his life.  So, why has this malady been visited upon him?  After all, isn’t God in charge?

I find at times like this us bystanders can become so judgmental.  For instance I can just hear many saying: all things work together for good to those who love the Lord; the Lord only knows why; nobody is absolutely innocent; what goes around comes around; wrong place at the wrong time; etc.   I have heard these kinds of ‘encouragements’ in my own life when I was at my lowest… trust me they don’t help.   Instead of offering a cliche, just say you are sorry for his/her pain and let them know you care.  Pray for them, contact them (text, e-mail, phone call, etc) … 

I maintain things like: disease, injustice, accidents, deaths,  etc, happen in order to give one an opportunity to minister to others.  Similarly, one need not be a minister to minister, and one never understands the plight of others until he/she has undergone a similar dilemma.  So be it merely the way you stand up to ‘right a wrong’, face death, or face injustices… others are watching.  As they watch they learn… and when you show the inner strength that Jesus imparts to you through the Holy Spirit… they wonder how, rather than question why.  Sooner or later they will come to the point where they ask how, and, even if it is a different minister, a witness for salvation may take place.

Luther was not wrong when he posited the ‘priesthood of the believer’.  The question is when life throws you a curve, will you reach for pills and pity or for the inward strength needed.

Shotgun preteen vs. Illegal alien Home Invaders…Two illegal aliens,
Ralphel Resindez, 23, and Enrico Garza, 26, probably believed they
would easily overpower home-alone 11-year-old Patricia Harrington
after her father had left their two-story home.
It seems the two crooks never learned two things: they were in Montana
and Patricia had been a clay-shooting champion since she was nine.

Patricia was in her upstairs room when the two men broke through the
front door of the house. She quickly ran to her father’s room and
grabbed his 12-gauge Mossberg 500 shotgun.

Resindez was the first to get up to the second floor only to be the
first to catch a near point blank blast of buckshot from the
11-year-old’s knee-crouch aim. He suffered fatal wounds
to his abdomen and genitals.

When Garza ran to the foot of the stairs, he took a blast to the left
shoulder and staggered out into the street where he bled to death
before medical help could arrive.

It was found out later that Resindez was armed with a stolen
45-caliber handgun he took from another home invasion robbery. That
victim, 50-year-old David 0′Burien, was not so lucky. He died from
stab wounds to the chest.

Ever wonder why good stuff never makes CBC, NBC, CBS, PBS, MSNBC, CNN,
or ABC news……..?

An 11 year old girl, properly trained, defended her home, and
herself……against two murderous, illegal immigrants…….and she
wins, She is still alive.

The next time some politician tries to tell you he wants to keep abortion “safe and legal,” here’s a story to keep in mind.

It also shows the impact that pro-lifers can have when we keep the pressure on.

Coming on the heels of the “House of Horrors” and prosecution of the late term abortionist Kermit Gosnell in Philadelphia, health investigators in Illinois have shut down two abortion butcheries.

Motivated by a pro-life backlash following the scathing Grand Jury indictment of Pennsylvania’s Department of Health and Department of State for turning a blind eye to Gosnell’s grisly abortion practice, the Illinois health department raided nine abortion mills.

According to reports, several abortion centers in Illinois had gone without inspection for as many as 15 years.

The Illinois investigators said, they were so shocked by the conditions uncovered at two of them that they issued emergency license suspensions for both.

One of the suspended mills in Lincolnwood was cited for lack of a supervising registered nurse, failure to perform CPR on a patient who later died, and keeping TV dinners in a biohazard refrigerator next to aborted babies.

The mill in Lincolnwood received a $36,000 fine for the violations, but chose to close permanently rather than pay up.

The abortion center in Rockford also closed after being cited for numerous violations, including failure to keep a registered nurse on staff, unsanitary operating rooms, and stained equipment.

While the Rockford mill managed to negotiate a much smaller fine of $9,750, it still had to close due to the outcry from pro-lifers and others in the local community.

In fact, the abortion mill in Rockford has long been a focus of NPLA and other pro-life activists, who report that they have been verbally and physically abused by abortion mill staff while peacefully demonstrating out front.

The bottom line is, the bureaucrats across the country are under pressure from pro-lifers, and that’s a good thing.

Thanks to pro-life pressure, we’re forcing them to inspect abortion mills and expose the true horror of that gruesome trade.

And knowing the truth, we must mobilize pro-lifers all across the country to both be active locally and work to pass truly effective pro-life legislation.

Legislation, such as the National Parental Notification and Intervention Act and most importantly, the Life at Conception Act, which would legislatively reverse Roe v. Wade.

Please continue to do all you can locally and tell your friends about the Life at Conception Act, and how it uses the Supreme Court’s own roadmap to reverse Roe and ultimately end abortion-on-demand.

Not only is Obama playing the race card in an attempt to pressure black Americans into voting for him, he is also violating the separation between church and state. In the video promo for the campaign, Obama urges black people to pressure churches into supporting his administration by getting his message out via “the faith community”. He also calls on voters to become “congregation captains”.

The Pennsylvania man assaulted in October by a Muslim who was offended by his Halloween parade “Zombie Muhammad” costume said he has received hundreds of death threats after a judge dismissed his attacker’s criminal charges.

Ernest Perce told The Daily Caller that Talaag Elbayomy, a Muslim man, “grabbed me, choked me from the back, and spun me around to try to get my sign off that was wrapped around my neck.”

Elbayomy reportedly admitted to a police officer, Sgt. Bryan Curtis, that he attempted to rip Perce’s fake beard off, remove his “Muhammed of Islam” sign and choke him.

Perce said he believes Elbayomy thought it was illegal in the United States to insult Muhammad, as it is in countries whose governments are based on Sharia law.

Last week Judge Mark Martin sided with Perce’s attacker, saying in open court that Perce would be put to death in Muslim societies for showing disrespect to Muhammad. The judge dismissed the charges against Elbayomy…

Urgent: Saving Pastor Yousef…

TEHRAN, IRAN (BosNewsLife)– Iran’s government is trying to play down credible reports that jailed Pastor Youcef Nadarkhani’s execution is imminent for refusing to recant his faith in Christ, amid mounting international concern BosNewsLife monitored Monday, February 27.

Dr B’s Medical Update… as you know my cancer was not totally removed and had spread into the lymph and other surrounding tissues.  My prognosis is poor, but my spirits are high.  I have completed radiation (as of 12/21/11) 36 days almost four thousand miles ago.  I am also under hormone treatment (Lupron) for one year and will receive my third injection tomorrow.  I have drastically changed my diet… no meats with high fats and/or hormones (even chicken and turkey are not allowed, no dairy, just fish, fresh vegetables, and fruit)… also herbal teas thanks to 1.5 Anne and Cousin Sharon.  I also received more herbs from our ‘Pumpkin’ and a nutrition book (Marilyn is reading) from Mary D a high school friend.  With this diet and the Lupron my PSA is continuing to drop, but not yet ideal.  Pray I have the strength to endure these procedures and that the Lord strengthens me with courage, stamina, and wisdom.
