Dear friends and family:
Remember that Our Lord Jesus said repeatedly to ‘calm down’ (okay He said Peace)… at this time of the year stress is multiplied, take some time to understand the reason for the season, not material gifts, but God became man… or as a friend was found of saying: Mary had a little lamb… Merry Christmas!

THE FINAL INSPECTION
Which must always come to pass.
He hoped his shoes were shining,
Just as brightly as his brass.
‘Step forward now, MARINE,
How shall I deal with you ?
Have you always turned the other cheek ?
To My Church have you been true?’
The MARINE squared his shoulders and said,
‘No, Lord, I guess I ain’t.
Because those of us who carry guns,
Can’t always be a saint.
I’ve had to work most Sundays,
And at times my talk was tough.
And sometimes I’ve been violent,
Because the world is awfully rough.
But, I never took a penny,
That wasn’t mine to keep…
Though I worked a lot of overtime,
When the bills got just too steep.
And I never passed a cry for help,
Though at times I shook with fear.
And sometimes, God, forgive me,
I’ve wept unmanly tears.
I know I don’t deserve a place,
Among the people here.
They never wanted me around,
Except to calm their fears.
If you’ve a place for me here, Lord,
It needn’t be so grand.
I never expected or had too much,
But if you don’t, I’ll understand.
There was a silence all around the throne,
Where the saints had often trod.
As the MARINE waited quietly,
For the judgment of his God.
‘Step forward now, MARINE,
You’ve borne your burdens well.
Walk peacefully on Heaven’s streets,
You’ve done your time in Hell.’
It’s the Military, not the reporter who has given us the freedom of the press.
It’s the Military, not the poet, who has given us the freedom of speech.
It’s the Military, not the politicians that ensures our right to life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness.
It’s the Military who salutes the flag, who serves beneath
the flag, and whose coffin is draped by the flag.
CT SCANS AND CANCER:
CT Scans implicated in caner… folks, all radiation can cause cancer. CT scans are a type of x-ray and will, if abused, like any other kind of x-ray cause cancer. Are any of you old enough to remember when we x-rayed our feet at the shoe store in the early fifties? The bottom line is proper x-rays save lives… would you rather not have the CT scan and die of a misdiagnosis or take the long shot that your doctor is one of those accused by the President of ‘taking out tonsils instead of treating a sore throat, or amputating a foot rather than treating diabetes?’ Get the CT scan and live longer by treating life threatening diseases in a timely fashion.

Swine Flu update:
Here is an article I must include because of my stance on H1N1… but realize as this begins to mutate it could become pandemic once again and be worse than the first go aroung.

H1N1 pandemic swine flu is far less lethal than feared, said British scientists, but public health officials should not be complacent in fighting it and vaccination campaigns should continue.
The first comprehensive analysis of deaths from swine flu in England since the H1N1 virus was declared a pandemic in June shows there are 26 deaths in every 100,000 cases of swine flu—a death rate of 0.026 percent.
The study echoes U.S. research published on Monday which found the H1N1 pandemic had a death rate of 0.048 percent, or 1 death in 2,000 cases—only a little more serious than an average flu season.
“The first influenza pandemic of the 21st century is considerably less lethal than was feared in advance,” England’s chief medical officer Liam Donaldson wrote in the study carried out by his team at the government’s Health Protection Agency.

Women who took a commonly used class of osteoporosis drugs called bisphosphonates had significantly fewer invasive breast cancers than women not using the bone-strengthening pills, according to a new analysis of data from the Women’s Health Initiative (WHI).
The analysis from a segment of the more than 150,000 generally healthy post-menopausal women in the WHI study found that those taking Merck & Co’s Fosamax, or other bisphosphonates, had 32 percent fewer cases of invasive breast cancer than women who did not use the osteoporosis medicines, researchers found…
Blogger Grammy Sammy:
Letter from Jesus about Christmas –
It has come to my attention that many of you are upset that folks are taking My name out of the season.
How I personally feel about this celebration can probably be most easily understood by those of you who have been blessed with children of your own. I don’t care what you call the day. If you want to celebrate My birth, just GET ALONG AND LOVE ONE ANOTHER.
Now, having said that let Me go on. If it bothers you that the town in which you live doesn’t allow a scene depicting My birth, then just get rid of a couple of Santas and snowmen and put in a small Nativity scene on your own front lawn If all My followers did that there wouldn’t be any need for such a scene on the town square because there would be many of them all around town.
Stop worrying about the fact that people are calling the tree a holiday tree, instead of a Christmas tree. It was I who made all trees. You can remember Me anytime you see any tree. Decorate a grape vine if you wish: I actually spoke of that one in a teaching, explaining who I am in relation to you and what each of our tasks were. If you have forgotten that one, look up John 15: 1 – 8.
If you want to give Me a present in remembrance of My birth here is my wish list. Choose something from it:

1. Instead of writing protest letters objecting to the way My birthday is being celebrated, write letters of love and hope to soldiers away from home. They are terribly afraid and lonely this time of year. I know, they tell Me all the time.
2. Visit someone in a nursing home. You don’t have to know them personally. They just need to know that someone cares about them.
3. Instead of writing the President complaining about the wording on the cards his staff sent out this year, why don’t you write and tell him that you’ll be praying for him and his family this year. Then follow up… It will be nice hearing from you again.
4. Instead of giving your children a lot of gifts you can’t afford and they don’t need, spend time with them. Tell them the story of My birth, and why I came to live with you down here. Hold them in your arms and remind them that I love them.
5 Pick someone that has hurt you in the past and forgive him or her.
6. Did you know that someone in your town will attempt to take their own life this season because they feel so alone and hopeless? Since you don’t know who that person is, try giving everyone you meet a warm smile; it could make the difference.
7. Instead of nit picking about what the retailer in your town calls the holiday, be patient with the people who work there. Give them a warm smile and a kind word. Even if they aren’t allowed to wish you a “Merry Christmas” that doesn’t keep you from wishing them one. Then stop shopping there on Sunday. If the store didn’t make so much money on that day they’d close and let their employees spend the day at home with their families
8. If you really want to make a difference, support a missionary– especially one who takes My love and Good News to those who have never heard My name.
9. Here’s a good one. There are individuals and whole families in your town who not only will have no “Christmas” tree, but neither will they have any presents to give or receive. If you don’t know them, buy some food and a few gifts and give them to the Salvation Army or some other charity which believes in Me and they will make the delivery for you.
10. Finally, if you want to make a statement about your belief in and loyalty to Me, then behave like a Christian. Don’t do things in secret that you wouldn’t do in My presence. Let people know by your actions that you are one of mine.
Don’t forget; I am God and can take care of Myself. Just love Me and do what I have told you to do. I’ll take care of all the rest. Check out the list above and get to work; time is short. I’ll help you, but the ball is now in your court. And do have a most blessed Christmas with all those whom you love and remember :
I LOVE YOU,
JESUS

Children in Church
A little boy was in a relative’s wedding.
As he was coming down the aisle, he would take two steps,
stop, and turn to the crowd.
While facing the crowd, he would put his hands up like claws and roar.
So it went, step, step, ROAR, step, step, ROAR, all the way down the aisle.
As you can imagine, the crowd was near tears from laughing so hard
by the time he reached the pulpit..
When asked what he was doing, the child sniffed and said,
“I was being the Ring Bear..”
*******
One Sunday in a Midwest City ,
a young child was “acting up” during the morning worship hour.
The parents did their best to maintain some sense of order in the pew
but were losing the battle.
Finally, the father picked the little fellow up
and walked sternly up the aisle on his way out.
Just before reaching the safety of the foyer,
the little one called loudly to the congregation,
“Pray for me! Pray for me!”
*******
One particular four-year old prayed,
“And forgive us our trash baskets
as we forgive those who put trash in our baskets.”
*******
A little boy was overheard praying:
“Lord, if you can’t make me a better boy, don’t worry about it.
I’m having a real good time like I am.”
*******
A Sunday School teacher asked her little children, as they were on the way to church service ,
“And why is it necessary to be quiet in church?”
One bright little girl replied, “Because people are sleeping.”
*******
A little boy opened the big and old family Bible with fascination,
looking at the old pages as he turned them.
Then something fell out of the Bible.
He picked it up and looked at it closely.
It was an old leaf from a tree that has been pressed in between the pages.
“Mama, look what I found,” the boy called out.
“What have you got there, dear?” his mother asked.
With astonishment in the young boy’s voice he answered,
“It’s Adam ’s suit”.
*******

The preacher was wired for sound with a lapel mike,
and as he preached, he moved briskly about the platform,
jerking the mike cord as he went.
Then he moved to one side,
getting wound up in the cord and nearly tripping before jerking it again.
After several circles and jerks,
a little girl in the third pew leaned toward her mother and whispered,
“If he gets loose, will he hurt us?”
*******
Six-year old Angie , and her four-year old brother, Joel , were sitting together in church.
Joel giggled, sang and talked out loud..
Finally, his big sister had had enough.
“You’re not supposed to talk out loud in church.”
“Why? Who’s going to stop me?” Joel asked.
Angie pointed to the back of the church and said,
“See those two men standing by the door?
They’re hushers.”
*******
My grandson was visiting one day when he asked ,
“Grandma, do you know how you and God are alike?”
I mentally polished my halo, while I asked,
“No, how are we alike?”
“You’re both old,” he replied.
*******
A ten-year old, under the tutelage of her grandmother,
was becoming quite knowledgeable about the Bible.
Then, one day, she floored her grandmother by asking,
“Which Virgin was the mother of Jesus ? The virgin Mary or the King James Virgin ?”
*******
A Sunday school class was studying the Ten Commandments .
They were ready to discuss the last one.
The teacher asked if anyone could tell her what it was.
Susie raised her hand, stood tall, and quoted,
“Thou shall not take the covers off the neighbor’s wife.”

Billy Graham’s Prayer For Our Nation:
‘Heavenly Father, we come before you today to ask your forgiveness and to seek your direction and guidance. We know Your Word says, ‘Woe to those who call evil good,’ but that is exactly what we have done. We have lost our spiritual equilibrium and reversed our values. We have exploited the poor and called it the lottery. We have rewarded laziness and called it welfare.. We have killed our unborn and called it choice. We have shot abortionists and called it justifiable. We have neglected to discipline our children and called it building self esteem. We have abused power and called it politics.. We have coveted our neighbor’s possessions and called it ambition. We have polluted the air with profanity and pornography and called it freedom of expression. We have ridiculed the time-honored values of our forefathers and called it enlightenment. Search us, Oh God, and know our hearts today; cleanse us from every sin and Set us free. Amen!’
Be Blessed and Be a Blessing
