As most of you know, I have given much of my life to the study of world’s religions and philosophies.  It would not be an exaggeration to say I have spent the past thirty years studying these disciplines.

Many ask me why I ‘settled’ on Christianity, when my initial studies, my ‘roots’, were more in the eastern religions (Hinduism and Buddhism).  They point out that these are the real religions of peace.  But what they fail to see is that the Burden of these faiths is for the individual him/herself.  Not the community, not their brothers and sisters, just themselves.  They chant and meditate to bring peace to themselves, not to introduce salvation to others.  Moreover, virtually every altruistic humanitarian cause in this world has been started by the Christian faith.

I choose Christianity, or more accurately, it chose me, in spite of my failures, in spite of my sin, in spite of my inequities.  Most exclusive groups, clubs, accept you because of your achievements, what you can contribute to them.  But Jesus accepts you into His Kingdom, in spite of what you are, and what you will become.

When I am asked to defend my faith in light of the Dark and Middle Ages when torture and imprisonment were commonly used by one sect of Christianity against another, or against the Jewish and Islamic faiths, I listen.  They bring up Native Americans, both North and South, who suffered due to their unbelief, and continue with African natives and slavery.  So, in the light of all of that bloodshed, one might ask, why do I jealously hold to the truths of scripture?  Why do I count myself amongst Christians, rather than other faiths?  It is very simple.  Jesus Christ, Lord God incarnate, never instructed any to use force to gain anything.  Jesus instructed us to spread His gospel by setting an example to the world on how we treat one another as well as each other.

He alone promised that if we followed His commandments, to love the Lord our God with all our hearts, souls, and minds, and love our neighbors as ourselves, we would inherit the Kingdom of God.

Unlike other faiths, Jesus instructs us to spread the Gospel of Truth, Love, and Forgiveness, no matter the behavior of those outside or inside His flock.  He explains that we are not to judge others, we are to love and forgive them, and in the same measure we love and forgive, that will be given us. He never instructed violence, nor did He approve it… even though He submitted to it for our sake.  And unfortunately He likely would have sided with Gandhi when he said: “I would be a Christian if it were not for Christians.”  It is up to us to spread the faith, not through violence at the behest of our leader or our Holy Books, but through the way we treat each other, with love, forgiveness, and compassion.  Let us not be guilty of turning the ‘Gandhis’ of the world away by our behavior.

Yep you got it.  Snopes lied.  Everyone of those dockets are there.

So Here is what I wrote Snopes:
Referencing the article about Elena Kagan and Barak Obama dockets: The information you have posted stating that there were no such cases as claimed and the examples you gave are blatantly false. I went directly to the Supreme Court’s website, typed in Obama Kagan and immediately came up with all of the dockets that the article made reference to.. I have long suspected that you really slant things but this was really shocking.

Kagan was representing Obama in all the petitions to prove his citizenship Now she may help rule on them.

Well, someone figured out why Obama nominated Elana Kagan for the Supreme Court…. Pull up the Supreme Courts website, go to the docket and search for Obama.

She was the Solicitor General for all the suits against him filed with the Supreme Court to show proof of natural born citizenship. He owed her big time. All of the requests were denied of course. They were never heard. It just keeps getting deeper and deeper, doesn’t it? The American people mean nothing any longer. It’s all about payback time for those who compromised themselves to elect someone that really has no true right to even be there.

Living on a ’fixed income’ receive no aid or get anybreaks, while our government and religious organizations pour Hundreds of Millions of $$$$$’sand Tons of Food into Foreign Countries!

We have hundreds of adoptable children who are shoved aside to make room for the adoption of foreign orphans.

USA, a country where we have homeless without shelter,  children going to bed hungry, elderly going without ‘needed’ meds, and mentally ill without treatment – etc,etc…

Yet, they have a ’Benefit’ for the people of Haiti on 12 TV stations, ships and planes lining up with food, water,tents clothes, bedding, doctors and medical supplies.

Imagine if the *GOVERNMENT* gave ‘us’ the same support they give to other countries.

Barack Obama is the best thing that has happened to America in the last 100 years. Truly, he is the savior of America ‘s future.

Despite the fact that he has some of the lowest approval ratings among recent presidents, history will see Barack Obama as the source of America ‘s resurrection. Barack Obama has plunged the country into levels of debt that we could not have previously imagined; his efforts to nationalize health care have been met with fierce resistance nationwide; TARP bailouts and stimulus spending have shown little positive effect on the national economy; unemployment is unacceptably high and looks to remain that way for most of a decade; legacy entitlement programs have ballooned to unsustainable levels, and there is a seething anger in the populace.

That’s why Barack Obama is such a good thing for America . Here’s why.

Obama is the symbol of a creeping liberalism that has infected our society like a cancer for the last 100 years. Just as Hitler is the face of fascism, Obama will go down in history as the face of unchecked liberalism. The cancer metastasized to the point where it could no longer be ignored.

Average Americans who have quietly gone about their lives, earning a paycheck, contributing to their favorite charities, going to high school football games on Friday night, spending their weekends at the beach or on hunting trips – they’ve gotten off the fence. Dirk and Sandy’s son Micky C. is on his way back to the States from Germany.  He is still very sick due to the severe and rare case of malaria he contracted in Africa (in the Navy).  Please pray for him he is both weak and depressed.

Pastor Lyle’s brother passed to his reward on Tues, 11/9/10… keep him and his family in prayer and keep the family in prayer over Thanksgiving when they will meet in Idaho for a memorial service.

Friend Bob (Kaybob) recovering from shoulder surgery

Dave E is recovering from his quadruple bypass and should be home, Lord Willing, on Tuesday (yesterday… no update)
