Common Sense Solution for Airport Scanners
Whatever happened to common sense? Freedom is a precious commodity and since 911 we see, almost monthly, more and more of it being confiscated, un-constitutionally. The latest is to look at our (my generation) not so svelte bodies to inspection by folks who apparently can and do archive, point, and laugh. All we need do is look at the Internet to verify that fact. Moreover, I have not even mentioned the increased radiation, albeit a low dose. Go figure, the Feds on one hand tell us to stay out of the sun for fear of cancer, and on the other wish to expose us to full body radiation.
There are two common sense solutions, the first is to profile the passengers. But you know as well as I that the courts have already decided that is unconstitutional. So, although it has been successful in Israel, it will not be allowed in America. Is there another common sense solution? Yes, as Kaybob told me yesterday the solution is simple, why not allow the passengers to opt for a background check (they will be charged for it)? Those who pass it have a photo/thumbprint ID which allows them easy access to the plane, those who do not have this document will have to go through the scanners and the ‘touchy feely’ alternative. AFTER ALL ISN’T AMERICA ALL ABOUT CHOICE?

Governors of 35 states have filed suit against the Federal Government for imposing unlawful burdens upon them. It only takes 38 (of the 50) States to convene a Constitutional Convention. This will take less than thirty seconds to read. If you agree, please pass it on. This is an idea that we should address.
For too long we have been too complacent about the workings of Congress. Many citizens had no idea that members of Congress could retire with the same pay after only one term, that they specifically exempted themselves from many of the laws they have passed (such as being exempt from any fear of prosecution for sexual harassment) while ordinary citizens must live under those laws. The latest is to exempt themselves from the Healthcare Reform that passed… in all of its forms. Somehow, that doesn’t seem logical. We do not have an elite that is above the law. I truly don’t care if they are Democrat, Republican, Independent or whatever. The self-serving must stop.
If each person that receives this will forward it on to 20 people, in three days, most people in The United States of America will have the message. This is one proposal that really should be passed around.
Proposed 28th Amendment to the United States Constitution:
“Congress shall make no law that applies to the citizens of the United States that does not apply equally to the Senators and/or Representatives; and, Congress shall make no law that applies to the Senators and/or Representatives that does not apply equally to the citizens of the United States .”
It is my understanding that if a Constitutional Convention is convened, that other Amendments may be brought up… why not add TERM LIMITS?

Her father listened and then asked , ‘How is your friend Audrey
doing?’ She replied, ‘ Audrey is barely getting by. All she takes are
Easy classes, she never studies, and she barely has a2.0 GPA. She Is
so popular on campus; college for her is a blast. She’s always invited
to all the parties and lots of times she doesn’t even show up for
classes because she’s too hung over.’
Her wise father asked his daughter, ‘Why don’t you go to the Dean’s
office and ask him to deduct 1.0 off your GPA andgive it to your
friend who only has a 2.0. That way you will both have a 3.0 GPA, and
certainly that would be a fair and equal distribution of GPA.’ The
daughter, visibly shocked by her father’s suggestion, angrily fired
back:
‘That’s a crazy idea, how would that be fair! I’ve worked really
hard for my grades! I’ve invested a lot of time, and a lot of hard
work! Audrey has done next to nothing toward her degree. She

It was a busy morning, about 8:30, when an elderly gentleman in his 80′s arrived to have stitches removed from his thumb. He said he was in a hurry as he had an appointment at 9:00 am.
I took his vital signs and had him take a seat, knowing it would be over an hour before someone
would to able to see him. I saw him looking at his watch and decided, since I was not busy with another patient, I would evaluate his wound. On exam, it was
well healed, so I talked to one of the doctors, got the needed supplies to remove his sutures and redress his wound.
While taking care of his wound, I asked him if he had another doctor’s appointment this morning, as he was in such a hurry.
The gentleman told me no, that he needed to go to
the nursing home to eat breakfast with his wife. I inquired as to her health.
He told me that she had been there for a while and that she was a victim of Alzheimer’s Disease.
As we talked, I asked if she would be upset if he was a bit late.
He replied that she no longer knew who he was, that she had not recognized him in five years now.
I was surprised, and asked him, ‘And you still go every morning, even though she doesn’t know who you are?’
He smiled as he patted my hand and said,
‘She doesn’t know me, but I still know who she is.’
I had to hold back tears as he left, I had goose bumps on my arm, and thought, ’That is the kind of love I want in my life.’
True love is neither physical, nor romantic.
True love is an acceptance of all that is, has been, will be, and will not be.

Twinkies and Root Beer
A little boy wanted to meet God. He knew it was a long trip to where God lived, so he packed his suitcase with Twinkies and a six-pack of Root Beer and he started his journey.
When he had gone about three blocks, he met an elderly man. The man was sitting in the park just feeding some pigeons.
The boy sat down next to him and opened his suitcase. He was about to take a drink from his root beer when he noticed that the man looked hungry, so he offered him a Twinkie.
The man gratefully accepted it and smiled at boy. His smile was so pleasant that the boy wanted to see it again, so he offered him a root beer.
Again, the man smiled at him. The boy was delighted! They sat there all afternoon eating and smiling, but they never said a word.
As it grew dark, the boy realized how tired he was and he got up to leave, but before he had gone more than a few steps, he turned around, ran back to the man, and gave him a hug. The man gave him his biggest smile ever.
When the boy opened the door to his own house a short time later, his mother was surprised by the look of joy on his face. She asked him, “What did you do today that made you so happy?
“He replied, “I had lunch with God.” But before his mother could respond, he added, “You know what? God’s got the most beautiful smile I’ve ever seen!”
Meanwhile, the elderly man, also radiant with joy, returned to his home. His son was stunned by the look of peace on his face and he asked,” Dad, what did you do today that made you so happy?”
He replied, “I ate Twinkies in the park with God.” However, before his son responded, he added,” You know, he’s much younger than I expected.”
Too often we underestimate the power of a touch, a smile, a kind word, a listening ear, an honest compliment, or the smallest act of caring, all of which have the potential to turn a life around. People come into our lives for a reason, a season, or a lifetime. Embrace all equally!

PROVINCETOWN, Mass. –Elementary school students in Provincetown would be given condoms – whether their parents approve or not – under a policy approved by the town’s school committee last week.
First grade students can ask for the condoms, though the policy requires that students speak to a school nurse or other trained counselor before receiving one.
Dr. Beth Singer, school superintendent, said since there is no age limit on the distribution policy, she wanted to ensure that younger students requesting condoms receive information on their use.

If you have never heard the word until now—Type it into Google and
start reading…Pretty interesting. Note that Muslims and certain other
religions are exempt from the Obamacare penalties and it is supported
by law. We are surrendering from within! The boy is leading us right
down the path to total control!
Dhimmitude is the Muslim system of controlling non-Muslim populations
conquered through jihad. Specifically, it is the TAXING of non-Muslims
in exchange for tolerating their presence AND as a coercive means of
converting conquered remnants to Islam.
The ObamaCare bill is the establishment of Dhimmitude and Sharia Muslim
diktat in the United States . Muslims are specifically exempted from
the government mandate to purchase insurance, and also from the penalty
tax for being uninsured. Islam considers insurance to be “gambling”,
“risk-taking” and “usury” and is thus banned. Muslims are specifically
granted exemption based on this. How convenient. So I, a Christian,
will have crippling IRS liens placed against all of my assets,
including real estate, cattle, and even accounts receivables, and will
face hard prison time because I refuse to buy insurance or pay the
penalty tax. Meanwhile, Louis Farrakhan will have no such penalty and
will have 100% of his health needs paid for by the de facto government
insurance. Non-Muslims will be paying a tax to subsidize Muslims.
Period. This is Dhimmitude.
Dhimmitude serves two purposes: it enriches the Muslim masters AND
serves to drive conversions to Islam. In this case, the incentive to
convert to Islam will be taken up by those in the inner-cities as well
as the godless Generation X, Y and Z types who have no moral anchor. If
you don’t believe in Christ to begin with, it is no problem whatsoever
to sell Him for 30 pieces of silver. “Sure, I’ll be a Muslim if it
means free health insurance and no taxes. Where do I sign, bro?”

C-4 Seized in Navy SEAL Smuggling Case

LAS VEGAS — Federal agents seized five pounds of C-4 military explosives from the home of a man accused with a Navy SEAL and a Las Vegas associate of smuggling machine guns from Iraq into the U.S. for sale and shipment to Mexico, authorities said Thursday.
Grenades and night-vision goggles also were found in the Colorado home of 34-year-old Richard Paul, according to federal prosecutors and federal Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives agents in Las Vegas and Colorado.
Paul and Andrew Kaufman, 36, of Las Vegas, were arrested Wednesday and appeared Thursday before federal magistrate judges in Durango and Las Vegas on conspiracy charges. Each was ordered held in federal custody pending an evidentiary hearing…

We have exploited the poor and called it the lottery. We have rewarded laziness and called it welfare.. We have killed our unborn and called it choice. We have shot abortionists and called it justifiable. We have neglected to discipline our children and called it building self esteem. We have abused power and called it politics.. We have coveted our neighbor’s possessions and called it ambition. We have polluted the air with profanity and pornography and called it freedom of expression. We have ridiculed the time-honored values of our forefathers and called it enlightenment. Search us, Oh God, and know our hearts today; cleanse us from every sin and Set us free. Amen!’
