Melchizedek
Perhaps the most perplexing character in the bible is a man called Melchizedek (Rebirth Pains pp. 15-16, 55-57; Roman Baptist pp 83-84, 96). He appears in three books of the bible, Genesis 14; Psalm 110; and Hebrews 5).
I contend that he is one of several pre-incarnate appearances of Jesus in the Old Testament. It was also Melchizedek who was the first to introduce bread and wine as elements of worship when, in Genesis 14, Abraham worshipped him as “King of Salem”.
From “Rebirth Pains” page 83-4:
“Now let’s go to the first mention of bread and wine in the bible … Genesis 14. Here we see a strange character later referred to in Psalm 110 and the Book of Hebrews. His name is Melchizedek and He was the King of Salem. He is the only other being, besides Jesus, in scripture who qualifies as the Messiah by holding three required offices simultaneously: Prophet, Priest, and King. Logic demands that if there is but one Son … and there is … that this is a “pre-incarnate Christ”. This is an example of God the Son blessing Abraham. This is also the first mention of Jerusalem in scripture. Melchizedek was the “King of Salem”. Not only did Abraham worship this being he also received a blessing from Him and paid Him a tithe of 10%. This is the first time we see the elements of communion mentioned in scripture.
NAS Gen14:18-20 “And Melchizedek king of Salem brought out bread and wine; now he was a priest of God Most High.” They are received by Abraham from this “Priest of the Most High God”. This event predates the Tribes of Israel and the priesthood of Levi. It also involves Abraham, the father of Judaism, Islam, and Christianity, all monotheistic faiths, worshipping Melchizedek. So, since the Father of Monotheism could not, would not have worshipped either a mortal or an angel, just who was Melchizedek? This is the subject and thesis of both Psalm 110 and the Book of Hebrews … that Jesus was a priest in the order of Melchizedek. Verse 19: “And he blessed him and said, “Blessed be Abram of God Most High, Possessor of heaven and earth; and blessed be God Most High, Who has delivered your enemies into your hand. And he gave him a tenth of all.” We learn from Genesis 14 that worship involves bread and wine … in the crustiness of the Old Testament there can be no doubt that it was real wine … alcohol and all.”

Type 2 diabetes is also called adult onset diabetes. The disease occurs when the pancreas puts out too little insulin. When a person eats foods high in simple sugars, such as sucrose, it is almost immediately turned into glucose in the blood stream. When glucose enters the blood insulin should be released by the pancreas. Insulin allows the glucose to enter other cells and it, in turn is converted to energy.
According to the American Diabetes 23.6 million Individuals living in America currently have diabetes. Ninety percent of those diabetics are Type 2 diabetes.
Perhaps the best way to fight tye 2 diabetes is a change in lifestyle. A diet low in simple carbohydrates (sugars), moderate exercise, and loss of excess fat can be as important as a shot of insulin. Therefore, actions as simple as exercising and eating good, healthy foods will go a long way in curing this malady.

The Truth About the Health Care Bills – Michael Connelly, Ret.

Well, I have done it! I have read the entire text of proposed House Bill
3200: The Affordable Health Care Choices Act of 2009. I studied it with
particular emphasis from my area of expertise, constitutional law. I was
frankly concerned that parts of the proposed law that were being discussed
might be unconstitutional. What I found was far worse than what I had heard
or expected.
To begin with, much of what has been said about the law and its implications
is in fact true, despite what the Democrats and the media are saying. The
law does provide for rationing of health care, particularly where senior
citizens and other classes of citizens are involved, free health care for
illegal immigrants, free abortion services, and probably forced
participation in abortions by members of the medical profession.
The Bill will also eventually force private insurance companies out of
business, and put everyone into a government run system. All decisions
about personal health care will ultimately be made by federal bureaucrats,
and most of them will not be health care professionals. Hospital
admissions, payments to physicians, and allocations of necessary medical
devices will be strictly controlled by the government.
However, as scary as all of that is, it just scratches the surface. In
fact, I have concluded that this legislation really has no intention of
providing affordable health care choices. Instead it is a convenient cover
for the most massive transfer of power to the Executive Branch of government
that has ever occurred, or even been contemplated If this law or a similar
one is adopted, major portions of the Constitution of the United States will
effectively have been destroyed.
The first thing to go will be the masterfully crafted balance of power
between the Executive, Legislative, and Judicial branches of the U.S.
Government. The Congress will be transferring to the Obama Administration
authority in a number of different areas over the lives of the American
people, and the businesses they own.
The irony is that the Congress doesn’t have any authority to legislate in
most of those areas to begin with! I defy anyone to read the text of the
U.S. Constitution and find any authority granted to the members of Congress
to regulate health care.
This legislation also provides for access, by the appointees of the Obama
administration, of all of your personal healthcare — a direct violation of
the specific provisions of the 4th Amendment to the Constitution
information, your personal financial information, and the information of
your employer, physician, and hospital. All of this is a protection against
unreasonable searches and seizures. You can also forget about the right to
privacy. That will have been legislated into oblivion regardless of what
the 3rd and 4th Amendments may provide…
If you decide not to have healthcare insurance, or if you have private
insurance that is not deemed acceptable to the Health Choices Administrator
appointed by Obama, there will be a tax imposed on you. It is called a tax
instead of a fine because of the intent to avoid application of the due
process clause of the 5th Amendment. However, that doesn’t work because
since there is nothing in the law that allows you to contest or appeal the
imposition of the tax, it is definitely depriving someone of property
without the due process of law.
So, there are three of those pesky amendments that the far left hate so
much, out the original ten in the Bill of Rights, that are effectively
nullified by this law It doesn’t stop there though.
The 9th Amendment that provides: The enumeration in the Constitution, of
certain rights, shall not be construed to deny or disparage others retained
by the people;
The 10th Amendment states: The powers not delegated to the United States bythe Constitution, nor prohibited by it to the States, are preserved to the
States respectively, or to the people. Under the provisions of this piece
of Congressional handiwork neither the people nor the states are going to
have any rights or powers at all in many areas that once were theirs to
control.
I could write many more pages about this legislation, but I think you get
the idea. This is not about health care; it is about seizing power and
limiting rights… Article 6 of the Constitution requires the members of
both houses of Congress to “be bound by oath or affirmation to support the
Constitution.” If I was a member of Congress I would not be able to vote for
this legislation or anything like it, without feeling I was violating that
sacred oath or affirmation. If I voted for it anyway, I would hope the
American people would hold me accountable.
For those who might doubt the nature of this threat, I suggest they consult
the source, the US Constitution, and Bill of Rights. There you can see
exactly what we are about to have taken from us.

Life, liberty or your pursuit of happiness will not be endangered because someone says a 30-second prayer before a football game. So what’s the big deal? It’s not like somebody is up there reading the entire Book of Acts. They’re just talking to a God they believe in and asking him to grant safety to the players on the field and the fans going home from the game.
But it’s a Christian prayer, some will argue.
Yes, and this is the United States of America and Canada , countries founded on Christian principles. According to our very own phone book, Christian churches outnumber all others better than 200-to-1. So what would you expect — somebody chanting Hare Krishna?
If I went to a football game in Jerusalem , I would expect to hear a Jewish prayer.
If I went to a soccer game in Baghdad , I would expect to hear a Muslim prayer.
If I went to a ping pong match in China , I would expect to hear someone pray to Buddha.
And I wouldn’t be offended. It wouldn’t bother me one bit.
When in Rome …..
But what about the atheists? Is another argument.
What about them? Nobody is asking them to be baptized. We’re not going to pass the collection plate. Just humor us for 30 seconds. If that’s asking too much, bring a Walkman or a pair of ear plugs. Go to the bathroom. Visit the concession stand. Call your lawyer!
Unfortunately, one or two will make that call. One or two will tell thousands what they can and cannot do. I don’t think a short prayer at a football game is going to shake the world’s foundations.
Christians are just sick and tired of turning the other cheek while our courts strip us of all our rights. Our parents and grandparents taught us to pray before eating, to pray before we go to sleep. Our Bible tells us to pray without ceasing. Now a handful of people and their lawyers are telling us to cease praying.
God, help us. And if that last sentence offends you, well, just sue me.
The silent majority has been silent too long. It’s time we tell that one or two who scream loud enough to be heard that the vast majority doesn’t care what they want. It is time that the majority rules! It’s time we tell them, “You don’t have to pray; you don’t have to say the Pledge of Allegiance; you don’t have to believe in God or attend services that honor Him. That is your right, and we will honor your right; but by golly, you are no longer going to take our rights away. We are fighting back, and we WILL WIN!”
